Overview

Connect Zoom as an Autopilot source for Canny to find feedback in your Zoom transcripts. Autopilot will also automatically add votes to existing Canny requests.

Benefits

  • Win more deals by automatically detecting feature requests in Zoom calls and keeping track of them in Canny.

  • Canny will accurately detect and keep track of feature requests—no additional work is required from your sales or success teams.

Setting up the integration

Before you begin:

  • Make sure you are an Owner in Canny to install the integration

  • Your Zoom account is on their Pro or Business plans

  • In Zoom, you will need access to the following permissions:

    • List account recording

    • View a user's meetings

    • Lists all cloud recordings for a user

    • View users

    • View a recording

    • View a past meeting's instances

    • View a past meeting's participants

    • List account recording

    • View a past meeting

    • View a user's permissions

    • View a meeting's participant

Adding the app

  1. Go to the Zoom settings page in your Canny integration settings

  2. Click on “Install Zoom” and accept the permissions

  3. That's it!

Zoom transcripts will be processed within a day. You'll see identified feature requests in Canny Autopilot.

Usage

  • Autopilot will automatically review transcripts for the previous 30 days from the date it was connected.

  • Each Zoom transcript reviewed by Canny will use 5 Autopilot credits

Removing the Zoom integration

Zoom can be disabled as a source or fully disconnected at any time. Any Autopilot suggestions generated before the source is disabled/disconnected will remain in Canny.

Disconnecting the integration will need to be done from Zoom. Just follow the steps below:

  1. Login to your Zoom Account and navigate to the Zoom App Marketplace.

  2. Click Manage >> Added Apps or search for the Canny app.

  3. Click the Canny app.

  4. Click Remove.

Things to note:

  • Zoom will count towards the integration limits on the Free and Starter plans

  • Calls must be recorded to the cloud for Canny to have access to review the call

  • A Pro or Business subscription is required for Zoom. The Canny Autopilot source will not work on Zoom's Free plan.

  • Canny Autopilot will automatically detect if the request is a duplicate and add a vote (as well as a comment based on the transcript) instead

  • Each Zoom transcript Canny reviews will use 5 Autopilot credits

  • The Create audio transcript box must be checked for Canny to have access to audio transcripts for analysis:
