Overview
Salesforce and HubSpot data sync brings contact and company fields from your CRM into Canny to enrich user profiles, feed Canny company fields used in the Customer Requests Report, and add context to the Insights attached to ideas.
Salesforce and HubSpot are available on the Business plan.
Selecting which fields to sync
After authenticating Salesforce or HubSpot in Canny, select the contact and company fields you want synced. Any custom fields from your CRM appear here too.
Synced fields are attached to the user and company profiles in Canny. When a sales rep adds an Insight from a Salesforce Account or HubSpot Company, the linked user and company carry their synced fields along — so the account's MRR, renewal date, and other context surface alongside the Insight.
Using synced fields
User Segments — Synced attributes feed user segments in Canny, so you can identify enterprise accounts, churned users, or any group you've defined among the users behind your Insights.
Company fields — Map synced fields to Canny company fields (MRR, Renewal Date, Account Owner) to populate the Customer Requests Report and connect business impact to specific ideas.
Things to note
If a field is disconnected, it will still appear in user attributes but will no longer be updated.
