Overview
Connect Grain as an Autopilot source for Canny to find feedback in your Grain call recordings. Autopilot reviews each call transcript and captures feature requests automatically — no extra work is required from your sales or success teams.
Setting up the integration
Before you begin:
You need an admin role with the Manage Integrations permission in Canny
A Grain workspace admin needs to generate the token in Grain
Connecting Grain
In Grain, go to Settings → Integrations → API and generate a Workspace Access Token
Paste the token on the Grain settings page in Canny
That's it! Autopilot reviews calls from the previous 30 days, then keeps syncing new calls automatically.
💡 Note: Make sure you use a Workspace Access Token, not a Personal Access Token. A personal token only covers one person's recordings, so Canny rejects it — you'll see an error asking for a workspace token.
Filtering which calls are processed
From the Grain settings page in Canny, you can filter which calls Autopilot processes by one or more Grain teams. Leave the filter empty to process all external calls.
Things to note:
The Grain integration is available on all plans, including Free.
Only calls with external participants (people outside your Grain workspace's domain) are reviewed. Internal-only calls are skipped.
Autopilot automatically detects duplicates and adds a vote instead of a new request.
Each Grain call reviewed by Autopilot uses 5 Autopilot credits (credits only apply to legacy plans).
