Overview

Send Canny update emails to your end-users from a custom email address. This applies workspace-wide, (not by board), and would apply specifically to the following emails Canny sends out to users:

By default, user emails are sent from “notifications@canny.io”.

NOTE: Email whitelabeling is only available on the Business plan. Please reach out to start a chat.

Setting up email whitelabeling

NOTE: You need to have access to your domain registrar in order to add the DNS records. ⚠️

  1. To get started, go to the Custom Addresses tab in the Notification settings page in Canny.

  2. From there, add the desired sender name and email that you want users to receive Canny notifications from:

  3. After that, you'll need to grant Canny permission to send emails on your behalf by authenticating your domain. This step ensures the credibility and deliverability of your emails.

  4. You will need admin access to log into your domain provider (AWS, Cloudflare, etc.) and add all records in your DNS settings. This process can vary by domain provider, so please reach out to them if you need assistance.

    1. Please note that the verification must be completed within 72 hours.

    2. After that, the token will expire, and you'll need to initiate the process again.

  5. Once you have completed that, come back to Canny and click on the Verify Records button to complete the process!:

Please note that it can take a few minutes for the back-end processes to complete! ⏳

As always, let us know if you have any questions!
