We'll email voters when your team responds to a post

Overview

  • Who receives these emails?

    • End-users who have voted on the specific post being commented on

    • Canny admins (listed on the Admins page in your Canny settings) who have voted on the specific post being commented on

  • When is this email sent?

    • A Canny admin comments publicly on a post

  • What does this email look like?

    • It will follow your branding and appear in this format:

Clarify feedback with your users, ask clarifying questions, and address people who are interested. You can also use this to announce minor updates on a post!

The reply button in the email will take them to the post. A user who replies to Canny's email directly will not add a comment to the post. Users who do so will be directed to contact you directly.

Note: All Canny emails include an unsubscribe link at the bottom if they wish to stop receiving emails from Canny. It will unsubscribe them from all instant notifications (including status change updates, mentions, and admin response emails). This will NOT unsubscribe them from the weekly user reports we send out.


Strategies for public comments:

Give details about the progress of the feature
Share where you're at, announce a change to the timeline, or post screenshots to get people excited and ensure you're on the right track. Your users will love being involved in the process!

Get more feedback
Reach out to the right users when you have further questions. What exactly are they trying to solve? Does something else solve that problem? Do they have ideas for a possible solution? Just ask them via comment!
