Canny's user roadmap helps your users to stay updated on what's coming soon

NOTE: This is different from the roadmap prioritization tool


  • The end-user roadmap is displayed on the Canny homepage (your-company.canny.io):

  • Users will only see posts from boards where they have access.

  • You can see a live example at feedback.canny.io.


By default, Canny will display posts in the following statuses:

  • Planned

  • In Progress

  • Complete

Once you post a changelog update, Canny assumes that completed posts will be announced there. So, the columns are changed to:

  • Under Review

  • Planned

  • In Progress

To restore that default view, you would need to unpublish all changelog entries.

Users on the Growth and Business plans can select and customize the preferred columns and set custom statuses from the Roadmap & Statuses tab in the Canny settings.

Things to note:

  • Changing the status of a post will automatically update its place in the roadmap.

  • Canny will also keep users updated via email. Learn more

  • The roadmap can also be disabled from the roadmap tab in your Canny settings.

  • If all of your Canny boards are private boards, the roadmap will not be visible until the user is identified.

  • Statuses can be added and customized from the Roadmap & Statuses tab in your Canny settings. Custom statuses and customizing the columns are only available on the Growth and Business plans.
