How to track revenue data in your feedback

Overview

Canny allows you to pass in recurring revenue as either ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) or MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue). This way, company revenue is represented in each post.

This is similar to the Opportunities (which track potential NEW revenue).

Benefits

  • Understand the current revenue impact of each post

  • Consider recurring revenue when prioritizing posts in the Canny roadmap

  • Use recurring revenue to create user segments

  • Sort feedback by recurring revenue value


Sending Revenue data to Canny

  1. You can use HubSpot, Salesforce, or Segment integrations. Revenue fields in those integrations can be mapped to the MRR / ARR field from the Company fields tab in the Fields page of the Canny settings:

  2. Alternatively, if you do not have a CRM integration you can use the monthlySpend field either through the Canny SDK or via the Canny API as a company field. The documentation for this process is available here.
